GROUNDED IN EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE
Meet Kelly McGolden
I’m Kelly McGolden, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a registered Parent-Child Interaction Therapist (PCIT). I graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Masters Degree in Social Work in 2018 where afterwards I began my journey in therapy helping young adults and parents.
My experience started in undergraduate school interning with Oklahoma County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). I was able to see how important it is for attachment to be in place when children are young, whether with foster families or trying to reunify with biological families. While in graduate school I interned at a psychiatric facility working alongside children, teens, and adults struggling with severe mental health disorders.
Upon graduation, I began working in a community mental health agency within rural areas of Oklahoma. My position as the Team Lead of case managers, family support providers, and embedded school aids helped to shape my purpose.

MY SERVICES
Tailored Therapeutic Services

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
ACT is a specific therapy which helps clients learn to stop avoiding, denying, and struggling with their inner emotions and, instead, accept that these deeper feelings are appropriate responses to certain situations that should not prevent them from moving forward in their lives.

Pre-Marital Counseling
If you are about to get married, it's a great idea to have couples therapy focused on building a lasting relationship. In our sessions we focus on the building blocks of marriage addressing topics of communication, trust, and forgiveness.

Parent-Child Interaction Therapy
PCIT is an evidence-based treatment for behavioral problems in young children aged 2 to 7. It involves coaching sessions with the parent and child, with the therapist providing real-time guidance.
HOW IT WORKS
Ready to Start Your Journey?
Your journey towards improved mental health starts here. With a straightforward intake process and convenient online booking, starting therapy has never been easier.
Step 1: Initial Phone Consultation
The first step is a 15-minute phone consultation where we discuss your therapeutic needs and goals. During this call, we explore the type of therapy that suits you best, discuss payment options, and schedule your first appointment. If necessary, an assessment is sent to learn more about your daily behaviors and experiences.
Step 2: Treatment Assessment & Paperwork
After the initial phone consultation, you'll receive a link to your secure client portal where all the necessary paperwork awaits you. This paperwork includes important information about your mental and physical health, your lifestyle, and your personal history. Once you've completed the paperwork, we'll set up your first therapy session.
Step 3: Begin Your Therapy Journey
Now that we have an understanding of your unique needs and goals, we can embark on the therapy process. Together, we'll work towards achieving your objectives and addressing any barriers that might stand in your way. As you progress through the therapy, you'll gradually feel more present, complete, and whole in your everyday life.
