Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are you able to do teletherapy? Do you offer in-person therapy?
    My practice is primarily teletherapy-based for your convenience. I also have a small number of in-person session times available each week as well.
  • How long does each therapy session last?
    Standard session times range between 45-50 minutes and occur weekly.
  • Do you accept insurance?
    I do accept or bill insurance directly. However, once or twice monthly (depending on your needs), I will provide you with an invoice that contains all of the information your insurance company needs to directly reimburse you. Essentially, you pay for each session of therapy, I provide an invoice for those payments, you submit that directly to your insurance company, and your insurance company will reimburse you according to your coverage.
  • How long will I need therapy?
    That's up to you! We can discuss your needs and collaboratively make a plan together. However, the nice thing about CBT is that it's "time-limited," so each treatment typically lasts anywhere from 8-16 sessions, although for some difficult-to-treat disorders the anticipated number of sessions may be higher. Some clients choose to end treatment earlier or later, depending on their needs and progress. You're never forced into staying in therapy longer than you want/need, and you get to choose when and how to terminate treatment.
  • ​What is your cancellation policy?
    I understand that things come up. If you cancel an appointment more than 24 hours ahead of the scheduled time, there is no charge. No shows and cancellations within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be charged full fee.
